OUR ACTIVITIES - more than books

 

Allied Drive story hours

Using children’s books purchased with a grant from the Friends of the UW–Madison Libraries, we teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County and the Madison School and Community Recreation program to hold several reading programs in the Allied Drive neighborhood. Several other campus libraries are now participating in the story hours, which have become a monthly occurrence.

Reading Day with First Lady Jessica Doyle

Library services for Madison JASON teachers

We make books, videos and other equipment available to teachers participating in Madison JASON, an educational project involving 21 teachers and 947 students from 14 public schools and one home school in 11 Madison-area communities. Read more . . . .
