This state-of-the-art vessel began service in June of  2004 and links Milwaukee with Muskegon, Michigan.  The crossing takes two and one-half hours, offering passengers a faster and more direct route than driving south around Lake Michigan through the Chicago area.  There are two round trip passages daily during the fall. The ferry features on-board dining, wide comfortable seating, a business class cabin, modern restrooms, and use of cell phones, laptops and other electronic devices.  Taxis are available to transport you to the hotel so you can leave your car in Michigan!

For more information on the Lake Express Ferry, please visit www.lake-express.com.

  • The SS. Badger car ferry which travels between Ludington, MI and Manitowoc, WI has recently announced that they will be suspending service as of September 27 in order to conduct a mandatory inspection in dry dock.

  • Amtrak offers 14 total departures between Chicago and Milwaukee daily. In addtion, connections to other cities can be made through Chicago. (http://www.amtrak.com)
  • Milwaukee's downtown Amtrak station has undergone a $17 million transformation. The result is the Milwaukee Intermodal Station. A "transportation gateway" to the city, this new facility houses Amtrak's rail connection, the city's Greyhound Bus Service, Milwaukee County Transit (bus) and local taxi companies. Along with the construction of a new three-story, glass-enclosed "galleria", the interior of the remodeled facility features a new lobby area serving Amtrak and intercity bus customers. The Intermodal Station is only eight blocks from the hotel and taxis are readily available.

The Hyatt Regency Milwaukee offers valet parking for hotel guests at the rate of $23.00 per night, including in/out privileges.  They use the public parking garage located next to the hotel.  You can park your own vehicle for $20.00 per day, which also includes in/out privileges.  This is the standard rate for all downtown parking garages.  The parking garage is connected to the hotel and to the downtown shopping mall by a skywalk.
